Walk any road in Pattaya and you will pass a T.T. Currency Exchange within a few minutes. The site tracks 59 branches of the chain, all in the Pattaya area, which is more than any other changer has in any Thai city. It is the reason Pattaya is the easiest place in the country to change money: there is nearly always a T.T. between you and wherever you are going.

This guide explains the network, the hours, whether the branches pay the same, and how the chain ranked against the rest of Pattaya on 2026-09-24. The site reads T.T.’s board every few minutes; the live comparison is on the Pattaya page and the full branch list on the brand page.

Why so many branches

Pattaya’s visitors are spread along ten kilometres of coast, from Naklua and Wongamat in the north through Central and South Pattaya to Jomtien and Na Jomtien in the south, with Soi Buakhao and Pratumnak inland. Nobody walks from Jomtien to Naklua to change money. T.T.’s answer was to put a small counter, often a single window in a hotel lobby or a shophouse, everywhere people already are. Several sit inside hotels (Charming Inn, Holiday Inn Express Buakhao, Grande CenterPoint Space), several in malls (Central Festival, Terminal 21, Big C, Royal Garden Plaza), and the rest on the sois.

The gap between buy and sell is the shop’s margin, and it is where the money goes.

Hours

T.T.’s typical hours are 10:00–22:00, but the range is wide. Our data has hours for 53 of the 59 branches, and 51 of them are open on Sunday.

Public holidays can change any of these, so check the shop page on the day.

Do all branches quote the same rate?

T.T. publishes one rate page for the whole chain rather than a board per branch, so the figure you see in Naklua should be the figure in Jomtien. The site lists each branch separately and reads the rate for each, so if a branch ever diverges it shows on that branch’s page. In practice the choice of branch is about hours and distance, not rate.

How T.T. ranked on 2026-09-24

The site tracked 62 shops in Pattaya that day. T.T.’s best rate, the city’s best and the mid-market rate:

First or second on most currencies, and never more than 0.05 baht off the top. On US dollars the gap to the city’s best was one satang: 10 baht on US$1,000.

Against Superrich. Both Superrich chains have a Pattaya presence, Superrich Thailand on the 1st floor of Central Pattaya near the Hilton lobby (11:00–20:00) and SuperRich 1965 as a partner branch on the M floor of Terminal 21 (11:00–20:00). Our fact sheet does not carry their Pattaya rates for that day, so we cannot say which of them held the top slot; what we can say is that whoever did was ahead of T.T. by a satang or two on dollars and euros, and T.T. stays open two to three hours later. The Pattaya page shows the current order.

Against Bangkok. Pattaya’s best dollar rate, 33.20, was 0.14 baht behind Bangkok’s 33.34, about 0.4%. That is the Pattaya premium, and it applies to every shop in town.

The note tiers. T.T. paid 33.19 for US$50 and 100 notes, 32.82 for US$5 to 20 and 32.32 for US$1 and 2. Twenties cost you 1.1% and singles 2.6% against hundreds. For yuan the drop is steeper still: 4.93 for 50 and 100, 4.50 for 10 and 20. Bring large notes.
