Pattaya is one bay, so the beach you choose decides the walk to a money changer more than the hotel does. T.T. Currency Exchange has counters along Beach Road and inside Terminal 21 and Central Pattaya, SuperRich has two counters in the same two malls, and Damini sits on Soi 13/2. Naklua and Pratumnak are a taxi ride from all of them. The money rules that apply at every one of them
- Pay the room by card and in baht. The bill is settled at checkout in baht; a card with no foreign-transaction fee is charged close to the mid-market rate. If the terminal offers to charge in your home currency, decline it. The card-or-cash guide covers the deposit hold too.
